Kiwixはインターネットがなくても様々な記事を楽しむことができます。Kiwixはデスクトップアプリケーションですが、キウィックスサーブと呼ばれるHTTPサーバー版も提供しています。しかし、Kiwixを使う前に、あなたが使っているパソコンのオペレーティングシステム用のKiwixをダウンロードする必要があります。Kiwixをインストールした後、Kiwixからあなたが使用したいコンテンツをKiwixライブラリーから選ぶことができます。
ウィンドウズ (マイクロソフト社)
ウィンドウズ用のKiwixは二種類の形式で入手できます。
- ポータブル版 ZIP形式のファイルを解凍します。インストールすることもできます。
- 自己解凍型インストーラー Kiwixを使う前にインストールする必要があります。
ウィンドウズ用Kiwixは32ビット・Windows XP SP2以降対応でありますが、64ビットでも使えます。

リナックス用Kiwixはx86アーキテクチャ用のスタンドアローンアプリケーションです。
- 32ビットバイナリー
- 64ビットバイナリー (わからなければ、こちらをダウンロードしてください)
ダウンロードしたファイルを展開し「kiwix」プログラムを実行してください。32ビット版Kiwixを64ビットx86システムで動かそうとする場合、アークサーポートがインストールされていることを確認してください。
また、あらかじめコンパイルされたキウィックスサーブやARM CPUs用コンソールツールも提供しています。ここからダウンロードできます。
リナックスディストリビューションの中にはKiwixパッケージを提供している場合もあります。

Kiwixはほとんどのオペレーティングシステムで実行できます。しかし、あらかじめコンパイルされたバイナリーについてはすべて提供していません。私たちが提供していないバイナリーがありましたら、ソースコードをダウンロードしKiwixをコンパイルする必要があります。
