Kiwix allows you to enjoy a lot of different web content offline and without any access to internet. It's a software especially intended to make Wikipedia available without internet, but it is potentially suitable for all HTML content.
Kiwix is a Free Software licensed under the GPL version 3 which means you can freely distribute and share it with other people.

Where to start from?
Kiwix is generally distributed and bundled with a content package. This package may be the content from Wikipedia, Ubuntu documentation or any other online contents been build for Kiwix.
You'll see the Help page (the current page) after launching Kiwix and at the program start-up, unless you have installed a content package before which in that case you should see the content's default page.
Kiwix content packages, called ZIM files, are not belonged to Kiwix. ZIM files has been created by the OpenZIM project, but Kiwix focuses on the offline content of Wikipedia and you can see the more information about the ZIM files of Wikipedia in this page.
