Hi Wilfredo, thank you very much for your propositions, I find this is a good start. I will:
  • makes detailed comments
  • organize an IRC meeting about that.

Portuguese (Portugal) translation

Hi, Kelson.

I took the liberty to translate into Portuguese (Portugal) aka pt-PT at Translation/languages/pt-PT. I think I understood how it works: it looks quite basic. If I made some mistake, please let me know.

Cheers, Malafaya 21:29, 7 September 2009 (UTC)

Hi Malafaya, Thank you for your help, this looks good. I´m currently in holidays, so I´m not able to test if it work but it should.

You can add the English version of the article in your watchlist and configure your account in the preferences to get an email each time we will modify the master. I will also try to start a ZIM file in Portugese, but I can not promise anything in the next week because I´m pretty busy with other languages and the code of Kiwix itself. In any case I will to it ASAP. Regards Kelson 07:02, 8 September 2009 (UTC)

I've added the English master and subpages to my watchlist, and subscribed to email on changes. No rush. Enjoy your holidays, Malafaya 08:57, 8 September 2009 (UTC)

This is really a prototype... you have to feel you lucky if it works by you... Do you have a Windows XP? Kelson 18:43, 31 October 2009 (UTC)

bug: kiwix 0.8 is unable to search articles when the character " is typed. " is use in Hebrew for initials. the zim file looks nice. where do i translate the copyright disclaimer? Hidro 01:31, 1 November 2009 (UTC)
Hi, You can control many things about the ZIM generation process in Hebrew by looking at Translation/languages/he-IL, for the example please look at Translation/languages/en-US. For the bug, this looks not so easy to fix because the double quote character is a special character for the search engine. Please report the bug at and give one or two example for a search string and what you want to get as results. Thank you for testing. Kelson 10:34, 1 November 2009 (UTC)
