'''Kiwix for GNU/Linux''' is standalone application provided for the x86 architectures:
* [http://sourceforge.net/projects/kiwix/files/0.9_rc2/kiwix-0.9-rc2-linux-i686.tar.bz2/download 32 bits binaries] (Download this if you don't know)
* [http://sourceforge.net/projects/kiwix/files/0.9_rc2/kiwix-0.9-rc2-linux-x86_64.tar.bz2/download 64 bits binaires]
Unpack the downloaded file and run the "kiwix" program. If you have a 64 bits x86 system and try to run the 32 bits version of Kiwix, check that you have the multi arch support installed on your computer. We also provide a precompiled version of [[kiwix-serve]] and other Kiwix console tools for ARM CPUs. You may download it [http://sourceforge.net/projects/kiwix/files/0.9_rc2/kiwix-server-0.9-rc2-linux-armv5tejl.tar.bz2/download here]. A few GNU/Linux distributions have also packaged Kiwix:
