  • 2008-12-17 : Linterweb has stopped his collaboration with Kiwix. As Linterweb did not publish the 0.7 source code, this version will not be recognized as a standard Kiwix release and will neither be supported. If you want more information concerning 0.7 and the live corpus, please contact Linterweb.
  • 2008-12-10 : Linterweb has open OpenWebContent.org to help identify free web contents for Kiwix.
  • 2008-11-30 : New permissions of the wiki : everybody with an account can write on it!
  • 2008-11-30 : A first beta release of our next 0.7 release was released here. Please test it and make a report.
  • 2008-09-15 : The English WP1 project has finished its 0.7 selection of almost 30.000 articles. Kiwix will before the end of the year published them using its tools and software.
  • 2008-08-23 : New perl script to optimize contents size (html, jpeg, png and gif ) in a directory.
  • 2008-06-18 : A web gateway to our IRC channel has been installed. Visit us!
  • 2008-06-01 : The French Ubuntu community has released for the second time an offline version of their documentation using kiwix.
  • 2008-05-01 : First release of mirrorMediawikiPages.pl, a perl script allowing to easily mirror whole pages (with text&media dependences) between 2 Mediawikis.

  • 2007-01-11 : Kiwix and the project Moulinwiki will collaborate.
  • 2007-03-01 : v0.5 was released with a collection of 2000 articles of the English Wikipedia. Get it !
