I've just had the same problem... I was suspicious of the size of the file and the Kiwix program's capability of opening it... maybe you should for now permit the download of the latest 2017 .zim and give a warning for the 2018 one... The file wikipedia_en_all_novid.zim from May 2018 is not recognized as a zim file by either my Windows version of Kiwix or my Android version. I did a checksum for md5 and they match. I downloaded via the direct link as well as bitorrent. On my phone I also tried downloading it in the app where it broke it down into 2 GB files and that wasn't recognized either. I even tried uninstalling Kiwix on the phone and re-installing. Brted (talk) 02:11, 22 July 2018 (CEST)
