Offline Hackathon 2013

The hackathon will take place in the south of Paris, a flat is rented.

Topics

Kiwix-mobile for Android using QT (with Necessitas). A first version of kiwix-mobile for Android should be released at the end of the week.

Attendees

This hackathon is reserved for people already involved in the development of offline technologies.

Result

First version of Kiwix for Android

The hackathon was a success. We achieved to prepare a first version of Kiwix. We finally decided to combine a native Android UI with a native binary code coming from the C++ code. The result is a beautiful app. but also fast.

We have now an Android Application working on Android4 or later. It runs on devices based on ARM, Intel atom and MIPS CPUs.
